Abstract: During the summer and autumn of 2013, Blue-footed Boobies (Sula nebouxii) irrupted north of their usual range in greater numbers than ever previously documented. A sub-adult photographed off northeastern Vancouver Island, B.C. on 2013 September 24 is the first confirmed record of this species in Canada.
